The sign of a life well lived is mud; no one clean ever lived. Give me your pristine heart, your un-jaded cloth, and I’ll give it to the wood. See, no one clean ever loved; it is fire and earth that makes us good. The unstained head never travelled much, and a heart not broken has not been tested, and those now best had to once be bested, and you may have to lose before you love. It is in the dark we’ll know if our light is good, for the sign of a life well loved is mud.
